Summary

The Second Stage of Consultation (Statutory) closed on the 20th February 2025

A response was submitted by North Muskham Parish Council and the Joint Parishes Action Group (JPAG) ahead of the deadline (for a copy see 'Phase Two Statutory Consultation' tab). In addition most of the other affected parishes also submitted local responses.

What happens next?

The applicant, Elements Green, will now have to consider all of the responses and incorporate, where appropriate, in order to complete their Development Consent Order (DCO) application. Given the likely volume of responses this may take several months.

Once the Application has been submitted to the Planning Inspectorate there is a period of 28 days in which the Planning Inspectorate must decide if the application will be accepted in order to move to the Pre-examination stage  Elements Green website still lists still as likely August 2025.

There is notice limit as to how long the pre-examination stage will last but it is usually expected to be a maximum of 5 months. It is at this stage that members of the public must register to make further comment. The full Examination then follows when there will be further time to comment. Elements Green estimate the entire examination process as end of 2025 through 2026.

Development would then start in 2027 and last for approximately 2 years.
